Edible God - COMPLETE!

Post by hope » Fri Jun 25, 2004 5:44 am

I'm working on a screenprinted split minicomic with Mal for San Diego. It's not quite my usual style, but I think it's turning out okay! I'll add more pages as I finish them... I'm bouncing in between three comic projects right now, so that could be later today or next week. ;)

I find it interesting that having just one falling leaf on the second page/panel gives me the impression that it's fall. I'm not sure if that's your intent or not, but I can't get that idea out of my head. It's kinda neat, actually.

Also because Fall is when apples are ready, right?

I really love the page with the apple being cut open.

Oh yeah... I completely forgot about that. Never mind what I said before, then.

Thanks! :D

I'm having fun with it. Silly little nonsensical piece. :)

Wow, I really like how you didn't use words to explain what had happened to her. Great work.

Great job implying the apple was cut in half without having to show the knife. That horizontal line, and the fact that the apple then comes apart, really sells it! Probably my favorite piece of yours to date, hope! :)

There's not much I can add to the comments that have already been said. I'm definitely intrigued so far.

I really do love the girl's expressions though. Her middle eye closing sideways is a great touch.

Anyway, I too am looking forward to seeing more. I'll keep an eye out for it at San Diego.
