Orbit - Earth's Midlife Crisis

Post by johlin » Wed Oct 14, 2009 3:05 pm

Hi guys,

Here are some strips from my comic, Orbit. It's still getting on its feet.

By the way, the quality of art in these forums is hugely intimidating..

These are really good! I dig the slightly warped sense of humor here (and I'm reminded of "Gaia!" from SimEarth! Anyone remember Gaia? Anyone?) Keep this rolling - they're well-paced and the simplified art makes them easy to read - the style suits the strip very well. And some of the simplest strips are the best ones - look at Gunwhale's "Guten Tag!" for example - very simple and "cartoony" but consistently funny!

As for being intimidated, well... me too. Pros are a tough crowd! But when you really put yourself into your work, it shows, and that's reason enough to do it, I think. So keep 'em coming, I say!

Really nice. I'd be surprised if you can milk this simple premise (solar system as characters) for much more, but hey, I love being surprised. Maybe there will be some branching out into deep space....
