Phoebe's Kite - a tale of unfortunate luck

Post by flyk » Fri Jul 10, 2009 11:33 pm

I've recently been working on some illustrations for "Phoebe's Kite", a picture,no text, comic~

"Phoebe's Kite" is about the trials and tribulations of Phoebe, the antagonist, flying her lovely kite.

I have the first 13 panels done. From the first default 12 panels, there are two separate endings!

I'll post the two separate endings in two separate posts.

That last pic of the little girl is really nice; she looks like she's on a mission

I like the "chunkiness" of your artwork, if you know what I mean. This kind of digital painting is really appealing, I think. Your colors are nice and bold, but really work together.

Nice work!

Thank you ~!

I think I know what you mean by 'chunkiness'~ There are a lot of large shapes within a lot of my compositions that have more of a 'chunky' feel :}

I'm so happy you like it...~! You've made my day~

Phoebe's Kite: The Normal Ending

Post by flyk » Wed Jul 15, 2009 2:12 pm

Here are the last panels portraying the "Normal Ending". Since these panels are going to become an online difference games, there needed to be a "Best" ending and a "Normal" ending!

I hope you enjoy~

As far as the overall project, I still need to finish up the differences within each panel. After that, I'm totally done!

Here are the panels:

Thanks for sharing this with us. As I go through this, I'm reminded of the big hardcover books I used to read as a small child. Really nostalgic. :)
