New webcomic! Para-Ten, finally up

Post by Ashwara » Sun May 31, 2009 8:21 am

Hello everyone, I bet none of you remember me by now, but I posted here a while ago about a webcomic I had. Anyways, this is actually the same comic, which I re-wrote and am redoing and finally got a website for. Ha ha.

The site isn't completely done yet but it functions! So check it out maybe!

Here's the url: http://tenthousandmasks.org

That's actually my "team" website, and here's a direct link to the comic: http://www.tenthousandmasks.org/para-ten

And here's an image to perhaps entice you!

Ha ha, that's great to hear! Doing letting has actually been one of my greatest challenges, but my room mate gave me some good tips on it. I think I'm getting better.

Here's a "pin-up" or banner I did of the main character:

I really love the "chunkiness" of your inks! Very bold and expressive. And the textures you are getting out of your coloring are great. This comic is a treat to look at.

Your website could use easier navigation. I couldn't find a "Next" or "Previous" on the full page view, just on the archive view (which is very small). It looks like you're using Comicpress, so I'm sure there's some way you can do this. Other than that, I really dig the striped-down, organic design of your site.

Consider yourself bookmarked!

Thanks Seth!

I agree with you about the site. It's actually not completely done yet. Still trying to work out the archive features, and the buttons aren't how they are supposed to be yet

This is what the site is supposed to look like: http://fb.xenostarz.com/ashwara/site6.png

This is great! Love the looseness of your line... very dynamic!

One little suggestion would be to replace the Latest Comics widget with a general archive navigation, or page. But anyway...

The art is gorgeous! The line art is really cool and different, the colors have a great confidence to them, the textures are great... as you can probably tell I am really impressed :) . Consider yourself bookmarked - super excited to see more!
