I was trying to watch the trailer of this that Ogden did but it wasn't loading properly so I didn't want to read it until I saw the trailer which would lead me into it [because I wanted to get an impression of how persuasive it it was or wasn't], but it looks really good. Sort of like Monkey Island meets Captain Star [though I think I get a hint if one other old show that used to be on that I can't put my finger on anymore...hmmm...]

Okay, but if you're watching a playthrough Monkey Island then it has to be Curse of Monkey Island, or else it's either the fourth one which is random and the first two don't have any voice overs so it's boring to watch, but not to play.

I'm sorry, but you TOTALLY lost me with that comment!

Were you able to load the Marooned trailer?

Ah yes, it works now! My connection was just screwy last time I tried to watch it is all. I'd have to refresh the page to get an extra perecent of load time. That last comment was in response to your previous comment about you possibly checking out Monkey Island or Captain Star.
It's a pretty good trailer by the way

If it was animated I'd totally feel like it was an evening cartoon (you know...the ones that are shown before the Adult only ones, but at proper air time so that everyone has a chance to watch it...yeah those mainstream ones).

Cool thanks. Steve and I had a blast working on it. We would have loved to have gone more animated, but there just aren't enough hours in the day for working stiffs like us. The project took us 3 weeks as it was - 3 *unplanned* weeks too where we still had to get our other stuff done
Glad you liked it.

Here's an update with the female character Ril, who is becoming something of a fan favorite. I know my style is simple, but it's painfully obvious to me that I need to be much more consistent with my drawings. I guess it just takes time.

You've really come along, Tom, in a very short amount of time. If you compare the first few strips to the latest few, there's just no comparison. Really shows the value of regular drawing, doesn't it?
Roll on the next 100.

Thanks Og! It sure does make a difference. I wish I could draw more!

Onward.

Here's a recent strip - haven't posted in some time...
Cheers

I couldn't agree more - the progress has been excellent! The final strip in this thread appeals to me in particular - well paced. I do like the fact that you've kept the linework very simple - I think that contributes to the uniqueness of the strip. But your grasp of gestures has gotten very refined! Keep it up!

Here's something a little different from the average Marooned strip. It was fun to do.
