The Secret Thoughts of Harold Lawrence Windcrampe

Post by Phil McAndrew » Sun Aug 17, 2008 2:40 pm

Hi everyone!

I just finished a new comic that I'll be printing up as a 44 page mini comic for SPX, but I like sharing things online too so I colored it and reformatted it for internet reading. Be sure to scroll to the right and please let me know what you think!

That's a lot of fun, Phil. I really like it - like watching an animated short.

Only problem for online reading - sometimes it's hard to tell where one panel stops and the next begins, which potentially moves the characters to each side of each other, which makes the acting a bit unclear at times. (Did he pass the girl, or is he staring at her? Oh, I see...)

All in all, it's a really nice strip, and I'm sure as a minicomic, it's just great. Good luck with SPX!

Hah! I laughed out loud at the end. I agree with Og about the panel breaks. It should be great as a mini though, I'll totally pick it up if I run into you at SPX. :D

That's funny and true, I like the simplicity and scribbly lines. Keep up the good work, your other comics also rock!

THis would be awesome if you could get it printed up on one long sheet of paper, and it kind of folded out concertina style.
I really like the way you used colour, too.

This is definitely something people can look at and go "ouch, heee!"

the simplistic timing puts this together great. a good read. (I agree about panel separation, tho)
