Duk and Run! - strip #25 pg.02 (02/11/09)

Post by ChadTHX1138 » Sat May 31, 2008 5:50 pm

Just set up my new site www.dukandrun.com I am taking the plunge and doing my comic. I hope I can keep it up. I do not have any great expectations other than to learn, be productive drawing my characters and telling stories somehow.

I am useing comic press which is very cool. I enjoy being able to upload my images and they post on the date I want them to.

Ah, I love these guys, Chad. This strip is one of the reasons I started up Croaker's Gorge again, started looking at comics again, and wound up at Flight!

The strip has had a pretty big effect on me and I'm glad to see you doing this.

Roll on!

oooh really. Thx for letting me know. Let me know if you still have the same problem so i can fix it. I will have to tinker with the settings.

Glad you like what i've done. It isnt much yet...but I am trying. I have 7 strips finished...so next weeks posts are covered. I only hope I keep the momentum going. Probably like you I would like to earn my living off of my ideas and creations.

I really enjoy your style. Crisp linework and well colored! I liked the little footnote under the panel.

Consider yourself bookmarked. Good luck!

that is some fine work

I too love that particular model of nerf gun. I like to reinact The Good the Bad and the Ugly.

wow thanks for all the compliments. I appreciate it. Right now I am limiting it to two strips a week so I can at least keep up this level of detail, while having a day job at a game studio and being able to spend loads of time with my kids.

I am glad you like the characters. i have some really interesting ones coming. but with 2 strips a week I realize it will take some time just telling any stories about their traits.

The strip at the top has a red little bug looking character. Well that is a termite that is allergic to saw dust...I cant wait to eventually dive into that guy. but it will take time.

So I am just taking my time. This is the only forum I have posted my strips on because frankly I only want to share with a small group for a while and prove to myself that I can do this. It is pretty scary for me because I am really putting myself into just getting it done.

Thx again...here is the current strip till Tuesday.

Great characters! What animal is the one character? Is it a capybara?

Great George Lucas and Jar Jar. High-larious!

I've been keeping up with this and it's just so nicely done! I love a strip with a solid animated feel and good use of color, and my favorite panel is still the layout of the studio (panel 3 of the 1st strip) because it's just so well done. Congrats again and thanks to you and your nicely designed site we're going to try comicpress for our Bear Nuts comic... once we can figure it out...we're not too web savvy and it's tricky :P... but yeah, thanks!
