"Beeeeep" (A short graphic novel concept)

I'm new at the forums, and, well
I just wanted to share some of my ideas and concepts with everyone:
I'd love to hear what you have to say:
There's some wonderful artists here : > It's very exciting

But, below is a concept of a short graphic novel (10-12 pages at most)
that I did for a final: It's not finished (only two pages :X) but, I definitely plan on finishing it : > I hope this is the right place for this

I'd like to see some larger images, I'm kind of squinting at my monitor here.
There's this really nice glow to everything. Is the art painted or digital - or both? Reminds me a little of someone like Aya Takano?
I would like to see more of this little story - are these two pages supposed to be sequential? They kind of seem like they are but the actual panel-to-panel storytelling is a little bit murky - I am not quite sure what actually happens.
I really like the feel of it though, and I'd like to see it finished.

but, Yes: these two pages are sequential: I plan on working on it more during my break, but...what happens is that the little girl hears a noise, and, it ends up being the little bird: Perhaps if it was bigger you'd be able to see:

Mmm, it's great to see those bigger, the art is so lovely.
I do find it a little confusing to read though, not sure what it is. I think it's partly about what she's actually doing there. Is she building a sandcastle? Whatever that thing is it is there in the first panel, then it kind of disappears. I lose my bearings a little, I think. And at the top of the second page, it is like she should be looking down at the bird, but with those enormous black eyes it is more like she is looking up or something.
It is really enchanting though, as will says it really sings.

This is very nice! The colors feels like the movie Amelie. I also like that you use the text as part of the image. Looking forward to see more.

I agree that the sand castle and bird are a bit confusing as they're the same shape...but I barely even noticed as I was too busy being absolutely enchanted by the drawing and the wonderful glow your colours have! Well done ^_^
