Dragon Girl!

Post by Sarah Mensinga » Tue Jun 05, 2007 10:40 am

I've been roughing out a children's book on my blog. :D

The story is complete, as of today (yay!) and can be read with my little scrawly temp illustrations here;

I'm a big fan of the "roughing it out" look. I love the white pastel look you used to add highlights to the dragon and the little girl.

I really loved it too! It kind of reminded me a little bit of the Paper Bag Princess. I can't wait to see the final illustrations. :)

Thank you so much Kazu and Kean. And Kean, I definitely am a huge Robert Munch fan, particularly the Paper Bag Princess. :D

Have you heard Munsch's reading of the Paper Bag Princess? He's absolutely crazy. :D

I laughed so much when I read this. The ending was so unexpected.
