Hob Page 4

Post by Dresden Codak » Sun May 06, 2007 8:11 pm

Here's the fourth installment of my Hob story (the previous ones start here). I'm trying to get better on tasteful use of textures.

I read through the other pages on your site a while ago. I think this is working up to be a neat story, and I like the way you use style. The sepia tones on this page are awesome.

Nice work :)
I really like this page, except for one point -- the transition from the "boring. What's that you're reading?" panel to the next portion is really sort of jarring, in two ways...firstly, blue-hair's expressions don't seem very successive, and secondly, the dialogue where she launches into her explanation seemed like, at least from context, it ought to mention the book from whence the information came (My first read of the page went Q: "what's she reading?" A: "...a mexican salamander?").

Eh, this was really the first time I felt like you had any issues with transitions despite your nifty/tricky layouts, so I thought I'd speak up. <3
