Very cool. Chris gave me a call just after he heard this. Derek sounds so laid back on the show. It sounds like he's getting a massage. Hehe. :D

Very cool. I don't think she quite got the "What does oriental taste like?" joke though...

He sounded so suave! He was obviously on something.

I think if I were interviewing him on NPR, I'd want him to talk about the moment where Simon & Nancy realize that Ben is asian too. That was so neat.. I found the story right after Derek posted those panels, and I was completely hooked, of course.

Oh, man, that's FANTASTIC!

Hooray for Derek. He's exactly the kind of creator I want the general populace exposed to (which is why most of the presents I gave out the year before last were copies of his book.)

see, if she had read the book, she'd ask what was on the note, not are you a nerd or something like that.

its a shame he only has one book out. i wouldve bought more works of his.

one thing still often pops in my head tho.. now that he's pretty well known, i wonder if he's enjoyed the fruits of his his labor financially. (simply put, do u get rich after selling a book?)

hated the interviewer tho. she has the kind of voice that really gets on my nerves for some reason. obvious that she did not really know the book.
