Hey dan, I really like your choice of colors... it looks very natural. However, I'm having some trouble seeing the scene as a whole. Actually, I'm not sure from your post that there's supposed to be one single scene there... but if there is, had you considered putting more grays into some background...

I kind of go the other way... I like the new armor better, but that ink piece by Matthew is friggin' awesome!

Just more sketches (Updating again)

We'll see how long this lasts... I'm going to try to post regular sketches.

Inspired by the 24 season finale... and a memory trip. Something along the lines of Danger Girl. With more clothes.

Armor designs

Okay, I confess... I'm on a Final Fantasy trip right now. However, this here is all my own doing.
I wonder if this armor really needs (visually) a helmet...?

I'll try to post more designs as they come to me.

Yeah, I noticed that right after I scanned it. I don't know why I did that. Thanks for picking up on that.

I guess I just have this thing...

I just have a thing for drawing beat-up superheroes or something. There was that scene in the Daredevil movie where Matt peeled off his jacket. His back was just covered in scars, cuts, bruises... One of the most powerful shots from any superhero movie IMO. Haha, I need to shutup and draw more. :) h...

I think I've seen this recently... and the first thing that came to mind was "[Revenge of] The Fisherman's Wife." :D Eat your heart out, Hokusai!

That stylistic combination is just awesome.

Sandman's kid has asthma. And daddy is made of dust and dirt! Shakespearean tragedy at it's finest!! ROFL! Oh man, that's classic. That and Dresden's "hand grenade to the face." Y'know, I noticed that almost everyone that Peter screwed over got killed. Harry died. He could have been such an awesome...

Spider-Man 3 (possible spoil?)

Sigh. That was one of my biggest cinema letdowns ever. I kept thinking, "Jar Jar Binks. They turned Peter into a dumb joke when he should have just reverted to his selfish behavior right before Uncle Ben died." Jar Jar was a caricatured personality, and the symbiote-influenced Peter was also a gross...

I keep a 9x12 Canson sketchbook with me at pretty much all times... Before a couple years ago, I'd just draw on whatever, and that eventually got thrown out. Now, I have nearly 20 of the books on my shelf. I like them because when I go through them, I can remember everything that happened while I dr...

Holy crap, the first thing I thought was "Final Fantasy 7 MakoRo." I really love the way the central tower disappears into the light at the base, and fades into the sky BG. I do have one little complaint, but maybe you did this intentionally: There is no scale... just how big is this city?

Hmm... I've noticed that Iron Man was pretty much never drawn the same way from one issue of anything to the next. That said, my favorite armor is probably the one he wears throughout Civil War. I can't draw it very well meself. I know I've been away for a bit. Stuff happens. Hopefully this image wi...
