I thought I recognized the last image from Rodguen's sketchbook (and home page of his site)...

Interesting inks and colors.

Belacaleb - Sorry, I've just now noticed the pages are numbered. My bad... it's just that the bottom shot of the 1st page (page n.5) reads as an establishing shot, so I thought the details of space were lacking.

As I said on the 1st post, best of luck with the project.

I love those pencil lines. Great weight to them.
The middle one is definitely my favorite.

The storytelling is good, but I think the lack of details gets a little on the way of it. I think there's an "over abundance of suggestion" ( if that makes any sense...), specially on the backgrounds, that makes the reader (at least, it happened to me...) stop following the narrative to understand w...

The contrast between the blurred treeline and the details on the robot is awesome.

Is the robot meant to be a toy robot grown out of proportion? Looks like it...

Good luck with the screenplay, BTW!!!

Ven's IF stuff...this week, Blue

I've just made this for IllustrationFriday.com. I haven't participate in their weekly challenges for a while and it was cool to get back to it.

Old project

In the beginning of the year, I made these trial pages for a comics project that ended up being postponed due to some professional complications. I've been toying with the idea of coming back to the project, but I'd like to have some reactions about this trial. Theses pages have some flaws, mainly o...

Normally, I don't go for the "glass-eyed look", but, in this case, I think it reinforces her ravenous nature.

Also, the soft colors give it a kind of casual feel, which clashes with the feeding frenzy.

Nice job.

Not to be insensitive about the whole thing, it's always terrible when a life is lost, but could you post a picture of your colleague?

What's his name, by the way?

Thanks, dan. You've got some sweet stuff on your site... are your inks traditional (as in physical inking, on paper), or is it all digital?

Lighting study

This is just a study in digital painting... not much else to say, really.

Thanks for the comments, guys!!! Kid Galactus - Sorry, I don't know what or who Pishio the cat is, but I appreciate the comment. I'll try to tweak the contrast. Joe Shig - Must be an awesome cat, then... Thanks for the comment. Mean Mr. Mustard - Thanks, I'm pretty happy with the effect too. elisio ...

Children's book experiments

Experiments with digital watercolor and brush presets on Photoshop.
Some stuff, specially on the second one are bugging me a bit, so I'd love some input from you guys.
