thread - *scenes from your childhood*

hey wouldn't it be neat to have a thread of *scenes from your childhood* - illustrations of memorable moments in your childhood, a map of your old neighborhood, a drawing of your bestfriend in kindergarten, a sketch of your most prized toy... as you remember them - blow off the dust and put those ne...

yeah, you know, I also wanted to like it, but I just really couldn't. I don't hate it with a passion or anything, i guess the problem is that it's so "eh" and irritating. I actually thought Natalie Portman was awful, or maybe just annoying: and I can't tell if I didn't like her acting, or I just abs...

WOW. i went to see it for the colors, and that's what i got. AMAZING COLORS! and LANDSCPAES! get a load of the land scapes! I don't know where the different color scenes were shot, but I loved the deserts, the plains, the green water, etc, etc. I need to go there. Interesting how the story probably ...

Mr. Ben - wow, that's a cool look: the suspenders and sleeveless shirt - makes you look like you might be a good dancer. and Nick in England - you kinda look like Alexandre Despatie, the Canadian Diver making a splash in Athens right now...eh? I finally can't resist anymore: here's my pic - it's a s...

I haven't read through the whole article yet, but INSANE. i also heard that a Japanese lab has done something similar with silk worms and human genes - the silk that they spin are weaved in to a "fabric" that can be used as human skin in operations. also - I don't know if people here know what "Natt...

Even though most of the places I put in my travel logs are cities, I actually don't like cities - I would probably put in a day to look at architecture, but I'd be much happier walking out into the large geographies and vegetations to see, hear and smell that I'm in a different part of the earth, be...

well, i guess it once again comes down to the intricacies of the scoring that an outsider don't know too much about. I don't mean to say he doesn't deserve the gold or that he can't win gold because it's too hollywoodsy, it's just I can't tell what I'm seeing anymore when it gets all mixed up. Or ma...

After seeing last night's men's gymnastics (the individual competition) - I'm not sure how I felt about Paul Hamm winning gold - it seemed really Hollywood-sy. If anyone missed it, Paul Hamm, two Korean gymnasts and two Romanian gymnasts were going head to head for the three titles - there were smal...

oh-oh. here i go offending someone - (i better be really careful seeing how there's a possibility that people on this frum might actually LIVE in the places I talk about) I'll change the Brazil one, because really, it's so wrong to say anything negative sounding about a place i've never been to. It ...

You know, one's man's "fantasy" is another man's "farce" I don't mean to fool anyone, but sometimes I do have a compulsive lier part of me. But often I simply spin out of control with my own logic that people around me just get confused. My Travel Log, at best, is a chronicle of "wouldn't that be ni...

hmm! I just caught on - there's a word: "travelogue", huh? I always thought it was "travel log" - which i guess is it's own thing, too. dictionary.com says: trav·e·logue also trav·e·log    1. A lecture about travel, often accompanied by a film, a video, or slides. 2. A narrated film or video about t...
