i'd definately like to see this again: hey, anybody here from the BayArea? (San Francisco, Oakland?) I was super excited in the beginning during the car chase scene, when they said "suspect southbound on San Pablo" - San Pablo's a big street that runs through Berkley, Oakland and Emeryville, where m...

Ooh awesome! What did Brad Bird have to say during the Q&A? hmm... well, since we're all animation kids, it was more questions like "What is your favorite animated film?" (Pinoccio) "What is your process?" "How do you stay motivated?" "What is the message of this film?" " How do you make it in the ...

the director went to my school, (calarts) so the animation students got a free preview tonight, with Q&A. I don't know what my expectations were (i've only seen Monsters Inc, and parts of toystory) but it was amazing-awesome, and i'll be first in line to see it again when it comes out in November. I...

Danimal Dance!!!

here's a simple assignment i did for class - a loop animation. there's 65 drawings that play for about 2.7 seconds, and it loops 5 times. Made the music in Soundtrack. (it's pretty low-res/pixelated)

hmm... well, maybe Scrubs is (and probably is) somethinmg that grows on you after time, once you get the sense of humor. I didn't have TV for five years, and watching it now, I feel like TV's changed drastically... and not just all the reality shows. A lot of shows seem self-referencial. Like Scrubs...

hmm... I saw "scrubs" for the first time today... weird. I can kinda see the connection between "scrubs" and "garden state" - no real story, just going from one quirky moment to another... thinking that if they throw enough random things at the audience, they will think it means something.

since i started this, i better put something in here - something quick i painted on a mothers day card (it's from a photograph) but kinda sums up going to school in Japan. Back then, pretty much all girls wore skirts to school (not by a rule, but by culture) and we wore name tags. We had "randoselu'...
