I feel like I should contribute something...

I don't do much art anymore, but I'd like to try my hand at a graphic novel at some point in the near future. These are the only two decent ink pieces I've ever really done. What do you think? -PS Ent of Fangorn http://www.bnichol.com/assets/art/ent1.jpg Pogoda Palace http://www.bnichol.com/assets/a...

Yeah, and for a long time it was still called "Danny the Dog" over here, and once they changed the American release's name to "Unleashed" they probably lost some attention and some steam.

I absolutely loved it - it was one of the few martial arts films I've seen that villified the fighting itself rather than praising it. And the Massive Attack soundtrack...wow.

Lewis is one of the few authors that I will always have near the top of my list of "To Read" material - there's so much, and it merits so many repeated readings.

I've been going through a bit of The Cure and Joy Division, but primarily I've been spinning Meat Beat Manifesto's latest, At the Center - very jazzy! I get to see him live this Friday, too!
Other than that, a bit of Zao, Starflyer 59, some old Smashing Pumpkins, and Massive Attack.

I've been super busy with school, so I broke it down and read a few stories a night over coffee while on my study breaks. I finally finished it yesterday, and I'm just......wow. I need to read it again, straight through now that classes are over.

I'm about half and half on it; I love half the songs, and the others are OK. But it's slowly growing on me. It showcases his pop-songwriting, but it's missing a lot of the denser sound structures that I love from albums past.

Saw them in Denver last night - incredible show!

Just got the trade issue! Awesome stuff, Kazu. I am very impressed, and can't wait to see more someday. The extra bonuses are great, too!

Yeah, iTunes can handle just about anything - you just have to figure out how to change the settings in the Preferences.

If your entire story hinged on a concept, you're off on the wrong foot to begin with. What does that mean exactly? Isn't every story hinged on a concept? If you take away the entire concept that spawned it then I guess a good story could still exist. But that's like having Jurassic Park but without...

Starflyer 59 - "Traffic Jam"

Anyone else here into these guys? Great indie rock. They've got a few recent songs up on Purevolume.
