Even though I consider 300 to be somewhat of a fanboy/fanservice movie that definitely invites MST3000 commentary, I don't know if it's a truly campy movie. It does take itself seriously, has streamline productions, and too many people call it a "masterpiece". Maybe it needs to age. Like wine, true...

A stubborn leader fights a meaningless battle for freedom, men, women, children, duty, honor, glory, and all that idealogical stuff. That's actually what I liked about 300, was how recklessly, ham-fistedly idealistic it was. Maybe it's because I'm tired of the endless line of war movies which try t...

Hey, thanks everyone!

I haven't played FF7 yet, actually. I've only play 2 and 6.. But I have seen a few screenshots of 7. Really liked what I saw.

I'm always terrible whenever I try to draw in the mornings. At least with freelance stuff at home. I remember when I used to draw on-site with Armor Holdings I could get to work right away and do awesome stuff, but nowadays it seems like I have to go totally nocturnal to hit my production peak.

Drug War

A friend of mine was making this.. Until the hard drive he had all the data on was apparently blown up by a gun accidentally going off. No idea if he plans on trying to do it again.. It would've been incredible. Kind of reminds me of that Blacksad comic, only set in a weird, darker revisioning of th...

Oh, and another thing. I hear this a lot from animators.. When you do life drawing, try to get good at looking at the subject you're drawing for only a few seconds, then trying to draw it entirely from memory. It was EXTREMELY maddeningly hard for me at first, but after a lot of practice I was slowl...

See, I love drawing from life, yet I almost never do it. I did it intensely for a few years though. A lot of the time I hear people treating life-drawing like the ultimate way to good drawing. This seems to work for some people, but for some reason when I did more life drawing, my drawings done from...

From what I know Jim Lese is drawing Superman and other mega DC characters. His stint on Batman is one of my favorites. Yeah Travis Charest is another who I didn't like because I thought he was too Jim Lee like but not really. Since then he's really come into his own, and my oh my, how awesome is h...
