This has certainly got to have been one of the best things to have come from that movie. I don't think I'll be able to look at lightening McQueen the same way again!

Hehe well I have a good memory for things like that; atrocious memory for names though! I totally sympathise for your ordeal with the english school system. My GF started as an English teacher last year and it's been nothing short of a waking nightmare. How you can teach something like Shakespeare t...

It depends where you work. My brother works at a games company that seems to be pretty good about not working their employees to death. Though I gather this is a rarity. Yeah I guess i'll have to do my research pretty thoroughly. Thankfully I know a few people who are heading out there this year so...

Left Below - My favourite Protocol

I had the privilege of designing all the visuals for the upcoming album ‘My Favourite Protocol’ by the band Left Below. The drummer is also my Project Manager so we were able to work closely on the brief. It’s difficult to categorise the music, it’s a mixture of Rock, Progressive Rock and Electronic...

Get a family. That seems to cure it pretty quick. Wife and kids won't tolerate you turning into a mushroom at the art table. Haha i like the mental image that paints, like the artist slowly fuses with his desk chair and wacom stylus akin to the Davy Jones crew in Pirates of the Caribbean. As it hap...

Hey Og, Hehe i get about enough to ensure i don't need a specially designed chair to encapsulate my girth or anything crazy like that ;P But i don't think i have the right balance, maybe i need to start some kind of strict daily scheduling, i don't know. I thought there would be plenty of art addict...

Art: The be all and end all

Hey folks, I was looking for a little perspective on working practices; time management I guess. Since I started work in the games industry things have just been getting busier and busier. Don’t get me wrong, better that than the opposite; however I’m wondering whether a whole other monster has been...

Okay, just to clarify I didn’t have a problem with what was said earlier but rather how it was said. I’m not going to prattle on, I’m glad this was all resolved in such an insightful manner.

Dangit, Kazu, how'd you manage to make me mad? I hardly ever get mad about anything, especially in matters of art, which heaven knows are terribly relative to the observer...yet you did. How? I guess it was because you were criticizing something I loved for letting you down, based on what I think a...

Thanks for all your input. You make a good point about the colour/contrast setup Sarah, I noticed when I switched back and forth between monitors that my work looked more garish on traditional flatscreens, so I’ve done all I can to compensate for that. Yeah adam I think you’re right, people who’ve h...

That’s an interesting idea, I’ll have to see if I can keep hold of my work Intuos for a while longer. When I received the Cintiq I was literally mobbed by ravenous artists hungry for my equipment :P I’ll see if I can squirrel it away. Good point about the differing wacoms being appropriate for diffe...
