Re: Avatar

I hear people talk about how the effects carry the film, but it's the story that's turning this film into such a huge hit Kazu, you say that, but I'm really not seeing why the story is anything special. It looks like it's just choked with annoying tropes. Natives are good and pure and love nature. ...

Re: New Comic

That was really neat! So what's the story? Are you going to post more of it?

Also, I went to your site and saw you do a lot of watercolor. So now I'm curious, is this comic partially watercolored,or is it all digital? Either way, I love the texture.

A commission for a guy with a rabbit character. He wanted something like the nightmarish St. Petersburg like out of Gogol's The Overcoat, which happens to be my all-time favorite short story ever. Needless to say, I had fun.

So if you catch one, can you keep him in a cage and make him produce presents for you every day?

Re: Disney's A Christmas Carol

I'd add more backstory to Tiny Tim so we can have more reason to feel sorry for him other than just a kid dying. Oscar Wilde once said about one of Dickens' characters: One must have a heart of stone to read the death of little Nell without laughing. But anyway...I wanted to speak to this: Normally...

I just remembered my for-sure favorite Kung-Fu movie this decade was Ip Man.

Re: Favorite Films of the 2000s

Satoshi Kon's other work never stuck with me. Not even Tokyo Godfathers? It would be difficult for me to write my list seeing as how I was 14 when this decade started. If I did, I think I'd have to include, just off the top of my head, all Satoshi Kon movies and Voices of a Distant Star. Maybe the ...

Re: Rate The Films You've Seen This Year

Moon ***** A Serious Man ***** The Found Footage Film Festival **** Ponyo **** Cold Souls *** Watchmen ** I think this is all I saw. I'm kind of picky about new movies. They cost a lot, and there's hundreds of great old movies I could watch instead, so...the new movie better be something special. I ...

Well, I didn't watch the Mickey Mouse Club, but this is still pretty awesome. I really like that grey color you've got in the windows. It looks so good next to the red-oranges.

Bribing people to get votes for you seems a little unsportsmanlike.
