Nice. I really dig the playfulness of your borders in the first few sketches (and the pictures within them :) ) Is that Johnny Cash story gonna be online or in print somewhere? I'd definitely dig reading it.

Nice Samus. :) Cool sketches, man. I especially like the "action poses" (the guy running, girl jumping). Good gestures, sense of movement in those.

Really interesting characters and environments. And if you hadn't pointed it out, I would never guess you used photos in these piece. Nice job blending them into your art.

Congrats, Hope. I just read the story so far in one sitting the other day. I look forward to seeing the rest. :)

Nice mix of stuff. Beyond the diversity of eveything, there's a great feeling of fun in these illustrations (both in subject matter and that you had fun making them). My one critique would be on the "chillin" piece. Inverting the penguins against the text makes it a little harder to see their form. ...

These are great. Looking at these makes me imagine the bored stormtroopers who are running a customizing-military-vehicles scene on the side.

I wouldn't immediatly imagine your guys' styles meshing together, but this came out really nice. I'll be interested to see any further collaboration you guys come up with.

That airplane comic creeps me out. It's funny, but in that dark humor sense... to me anyway. I also dig the absurdity of the puppets(!) and the spaceman's enthusiasm to explore outerspace.

No fonts. The whole comic is hand-lettered.

I'll take that to mean I did a decent job lettering though.

Also, thanks for your comments everyone.

I like it. My favorite parts are the "original pictorial story magazine" tag, and the wolfman (nice rendition of the old chaney wolfman). The "wolfman vs. caesar text seems a little cramped, but overall it's a nice looking cover.

Weird Animal Comic

A short comic I recently drew for an anthology. Kind of inspired by those old "Ripley's Believe It or Not!" comics. Only I made this up. Anyway... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v342/jasonrainey/dark1.gif http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v342/jasonrainey/dark2.gif http://img.photobucket.com/albu...

Very stylish, man. Nice use of montage (the girl watching the guy walk on her head is pretty funny to me).

And there is indeed a clock tower in Portland that says "Go By Train" :) http://www.greatstreets.org/StreetClock ... nTower.JPG
