Haven't really lived in the city that long, so I can't really offer much input as to wher to go or its comics mecca-ness, but I can throw a couple of suggestions your way. As far as comix related stuff goes, you might want to check out Reading Frenzy , which is the local zine store. It's kind of sma...

That would be pretty rocking to see.

On a somewhat related note, I am completely freaked out by the fact that Moebius looks just like my roommate's dad.

Nice one, Kazu. For some reason, I can't stop laughing at Fred painting planks :)

Enjoy that sleep dude.

Nice delicate feel to this one. The line quality is nice on this one.

Now you just need to send your friend a half dozen copies of this picture... each on with a different color scheme.

These look really lovely. Great action. Sort of reminds me of Sam Hiti's End Times. Not that I'm calling this derivative, but I get a similar sense of surreal action looking at these pages. (and in my opinion, there's lots of room for surreal action  ) Also, the other set of pages you posted i...

Below, a couple of old sketches that I was reminded of when I saw this topic. Thoughafter seeing them again, I'm sort of inspired to fool around with coloring these images, maybe make them more "complete". We'll see how that goes. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v342/jasonrainey/spider.jpg This wa...

Really great brushwork. Captures the aggravated feel of the characters really well. If your planning on continuing with these drawings, I'd suggest maybe playing with other color palletes/combinations. Not that these are bad, but a less muted color set might help add to the aggressive feel of the pi...

Stop Shaun! I can't take being bombarded by all this great art  Your colors really add a dreamy atmosphere to all of your pics. I also like your pictures that are sans linework. Most art I've seen done in that style seem overly simplistic, but these seem more satisfying. I wish I could explain...

Initially, I'm just mildly enthusiastic after seeing this trailer, but I've been interested in seeing more of David O. Russell's work after seeing Three Kings. Plus it looks like Jude Law's turning in another awesome performance, so that'll probably be worth seeing anyway.

Really digging the colors and textures, the compostion of the picure inside the red frame. Also getting the creepy "lolita" vibe from the character. Not sure how I feel about the shirt. I like the print, in that it makes the shirt more interesting to look at, but it seems the graphic quality of the ...

There's not really enough there for me to give any useful feedback, but it's looking okay so far. Good luck in reaching the goals you set though. As deliquent said, I'll be looking forward to seeing some pages so I can get a better sense of the story.

Have only had a chance to check out a few of these pages. Have bookmarked it for later viewing. :) My first impression is the landscapes are really creepy. The dead trees and sparse composition works nice. The mound of trees in particular seems ominous to me. Looking forward to reading more. (also, ...

Poor pig... never got to finish his apple...

Dig the markers and the linework. Nice and loose, but still defines the figure and expressions well.

Morbidly strange ending, yes. I like the touch of having the killer's corpse still being in the driving position.

great textures and painting in all your drawings. The atmosphere on the first piece is great.

And I can't stop laughing at the track-ball lighting pic  Comedy involving butts amuses me. (i am easly amused of course)
