Good colors, fun designs, you're my kinda artist - and that third illustration is especially killer!

Welcome to the boards, Celeste.

Yikes! And I thought my 2 and a half hour drive was going to be a chore!

Hopefully see some of you cool cats there. :)

Small Press Expo 2008

Anyone going to SPX? Me and my fellow comic pal Josh Hechinger will be, and I was curious to see if anyone from these happenin' forums are too. I hear SPX is a real laid back, fun con. So you should come if you can, and have fun, and be laid back and junk. Here's the website if you're unaware or int...

Your colors are great, but I think with this one I'd go with b&w. Your inks are so bold, they can definitely stand on their own. In an ideal world, I'd love to see both. B&W on weekdays and a nice ol' color strip on Sundays. But I'm an old-fashioned whach-ya-mah-call-it. (Oops, just realized this po...

I think it depends on your feelings about Star Wars. If you liked the prequels, you'll probably like the movie. If not, then you probably won't. It's very kid friendly. I saw it opening day with my friend and most of the people in the theater were 8 to 13 year old boys and their dads (which I though...

Hah! I laughed out loud at the end. I agree with Og about the panel breaks. It should be great as a mini though, I'll totally pick it up if I run into you at SPX. :D

I picked up the Apocalypse Suite trade last week - this book is real solid. The back matter is pretty awesome too (Gerard Way can freakin' DRAW!), and you get bonus minis.

I've always preferred trades to issues...

Lio

So, I was perusing the local funny papers not too long ago when I came across a strip called LIO. I had never heard of it before, it's by Mark Tatulli, the same guy who does HEART OF THE CITY (which I have heard of, and really dig). Anyway, I liked it so much I went online and started reading strips...

I like it. The background could use some toying with. I want to say a bit more detail, maybe it should be a little faded/possibly darkened? to address the distance between the man and the house. More contrast, I think is the word I'm searching for, because it looks like you did acknowledge that to a...
