The first time I caught the RED BAND trailer I nearly choked thanks to the laughing that ensued. Haven't seen it yet, but I've heard pretty great things. It's on the list of things to do. Of course, the critics are slamming it because it's not like Rocky Balboa (which was also pretty great, by the w...

I pretty much agree with what everyone else has said. Our title character could use a bit more grit. I'd even consider dampening his hair a bit to make it look like he's sweating. It kind looks like he just got out of one of those fashion make-over shows. But on the other hand, we can't say we know ...

Hah! Well, I'm certainly happy to hear it.

And thanks for the input, io - I'll keep workin' it. I hope to debut in about a month or so. :D

...and another poster / cover just out onto the interweebles now... http://www.theraider.net/news/newsimages/junior_novel.jpg Very cool, very cool. It almost looks like it could be an illustration for a spin off series. Another picture came out the other day as well which I thought was pretty nifty...

Character Design

Hey everyone. So, one of the buns in my creative oven is a new comic strip I plan to run every Sunday. A few days ago while working on some "expression sheets" for the main character, someone looked over my shoulder and more or less said, "Well, that's not very good. I've seen that character before!...

REPUBLICANS: I think Ron Paul is pretty funny to watch during these campaigns. He's like the little kid who screams fire while the adults point and say, "Isn't that cute?" Romney drives me nuts because he backtracks on everything he says! I also heard the other day he said something along the lines ...

Aw man, that'd be insane and awesome!! I totally take back what I said before about a sequel being pointless.

It would be really hard to do, but boy, I would so pay to see that.

That's nice to hear. I'll probably wait for the DVD - it looks pretty darn good in any event.

It'd be great if they did a DVD/book deal, sorta like they did with that special edition of SIN CITY.

My buddy told me he was going to pick it up for my birthday, but from what he heard the book paints Schulz to look like a jerk. He always seems so kindly in interviews, and PEANUTS is, well, PEANUTS. Schulz was a loner, but I can't picture him being mean spirited towards others. I may pick it up one...

I was so very close to escaping gaming last year. But then they came out with all these ridiculous titles and they sucked me right back in. Darned time killing devices! Anyway, currently I'm rocking: CONTRA 4 TEAM FORTRESS 2 PORTAL Also, I've been looking everywhere but no one seems to be thi...

Heh, exactly.

Also, greaser kid with a sword?? THAT - IS - AWESOME! Ford looks pretty good there too, contrary to some shots I've seen.

Thanks for sharing, Mr. Dowswell.

As far as saying there isn't a plot, that's just garbage. If you were hoping for some asinine explanation as to why a monster suddenly crawled out of the ocean and was attacking New York, or maybe a Michael Bay-esque military solution to the problem, you're entirely missing the point of the film. I...
