I saw this last night and it was very disappointing. The story and characters were incredibly weak. Several CG scenes were comically bad and the action scenes were even frustratingly dull at times. There were some nice scenic shots and camera movement but it was hollow craft, cream cheese frosting o...

The demo was fun. It makes me wonder what a Flight game would look like... probably just a cleverly disguised Halo.

These are the series I try to keep up on: Fables - Familiar characters in new contexts, great story and character evolution. 100 Bullets - Mystery, Intrigue, Suspense, and Action. Either this is ridiculously well planned out or it will end in a knot of spaghetti noodles. Y: the last man - Tightly pa...

H. L. Mencken

I found H.L. Mencken a few days ago while randomly reading a Wikipedia article about President Harding, his writing is like a thick creamery butter compared to the margarine spread across most pages. I don't agree with everything he says but I'm irresistibly drawn to his writing. I think it's his vo...

What's your sign?

I'm making some comics based on sign art and I was wondering, what are your favorite iconic signs? Here are the ones my friends sent me: http://www.kristenkamei.com/images/oregon/May_2007/biker.jpg http://me.woot.net/vancouver/deadbear.jpg This is my favorite: http://www.terminalpacketloss.com/picto...

@Monster

You're probably right to be skeptical. Is there anything that can be added to this legislation to make certain that only truly orphaned works to pass into the public domain?

I like DreamHost (dreamhost.com). If you've got money to burn or several partners I recommend getting your own Rackspace (rackspace.com) server.

I think inspiration comes in from all directions and once you absorb enough it just gloms together into a lump that you're responsible for shaping. In your case, it sounds like you have a story idea and are in the process of finding your characters. I'd suggest making sure you have a solid grasp on ...

I can see how this is potentially scary but in reading this bill it seems that they've defined what a constitutes a "good faith" search and haven't left it intentionally vague. The search must be documented and follow the copyright offices best practices guidelines. Also a lack of identifying inform...

I think there are two brothers and I like that there's so much doubt. The audiences doubt mirrors Daniel's doubt. It's immersing. I think even at the end when he's telling Eli that Paul was the chosen brother there's a hint of doubt in Daniel. I grew up around mining camps and other types of resourc...

Was Falcor your model here? These feel like Luck Dragons.

I really like the frame where all the dragons are converging. Something about the tone of the writing and the images that doesn't quite mix for me. Not necessarily a bad thing, I may just need to build some familiarity with your story.

The Admiral Ackbar and Fatzilla comics are my favorite. I think fatzilla really captured that calming afternoon beer feeling. Great work!

Great work, I especially like seeing the little eskimo in his wooden tub boat. I'm just through the first fist full of pages but I like the visual story telling. The long strips feel like film flicking past. Oh wow, I like your website, just jumped over there to check out a few more pages. Well done!
