I'll be going to the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University [not affiliated with those "Ai" art institutes] in the Fall. It seems like, and better be, a good school, ha ha. And the Illustration department head called comics/sequential art, "the higest form of art" which was awesome. Because I ...

Thanks guys! I'm glad you like the watercolours. I thought the inking would separate it pretty well from the BG. I'll see what I can do in the future, ha ha. Crazy wildernesses where everything blends together!

Sitting Under a Rock, Enjoying the Rain.

Just a short, one page comic I did. I wanted to try to do a comic in watercolour again. I tried once before, but I didn't like the results. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v484/Ashwara/Rain.png If you want a bigger version, you can go here: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/61094330/ I'll tell y...

Hey everybody. I've been posting here for a few months maybe, but I never properly introduced myself. I live over on the east coast of the United States [Massachusettes, to be exact] where no one draws comics, ha ha. I just love making comics and writing stories, and this forum seems like a great co...

I just use any decent watercolour/sable brush. I switch sizes based on how thick I want the lines. For the ink I use any waterproof indian ink.

I used to use microns, but once I switched to brushes I never went back, ha ha.

Ha, I liked it. Yosuke reminded me of the guy from Kung Fu hustle sort of. it reminded me of my rides on trans and the like. It seems like I'm always the one doing all the looking around and noticing, while everyone else is just absorbed in... something. Ha ha. But there are always some people who l...

Ha ha, well it probably wont be for four years as I'll be busy in college, but you never know! I do plan on studying abroad. Ha ha, that's not a silly reason for wanting to travel. I first started thinking about it when I saw Kino's Journey and read Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maitenence. And also...

The Desire to Create and to Love feel the same to me.

Today I read flight volume 4, and I proceded to go and look at more comics and creations, and to work on some of my own. But as I look at all these amazing things which people have created a feel a yearning to do the same, although it feels somewhat out of reach. At least for now. So I think to myse...

2. Ikiru- My favorite Kurosawa so far. . Yes! That film is so beautiful. Kurasawa as a whole is extremely inspiring to me, but that's a favourite of mine. I also really enjoyed "Dreams." Miyazaki's Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind and the Princes Mononoke are really inspiring to me, not just beca...

It's so good! It tears at my heart that I'm not a part of something so amazing, ha ha. But at the same time it's very inspiring and makes me want to work harder. Kazu's story really struck a chord with me, because I had been conflicted in the past with the same problem: about how I should be helping...
