Yeah, definitely! Those are good observations.

It makes it erally hard to get anyone I know to watch and enjoy Kurosawa films with me though. Most people get bored ad lose interest because of the slow/spacious pacing.

I would do it based on what works best for your comic.

I would rather have just done mine in black and white, 'cause it's quicker and cheaper, but I did it full colour because it's what suited the comic best.

I really liked it, man. It was a good story. I like how it seemed like such a normal story and then such a simple thing as promises had such an effect. I'd like to see it again with more time spent on it (especially the last four pages, ha ha), although I do like the simple style. Can I ask, what ca...

Who, cool! I didn't know about the ninja one. Exciting.

I'm still progressing very slowly through Odin Sphere. It's awesome, but I'm a very slow gamer, ha ha. So fun and so pretty, though.

Thanks guys! I'm glad you like them, and that the mood came across well in the first one. I need to do more pieces that focus more on conveying a mood.

Girl and Giant

These are some images for a cover contest for a school publication. I don't know when we'll know who won. The one I'm submitting is the one where the giant's all in shadow. Anyways, I was only going to do one, but I went to work in computer lab at school and someone was on the computer that I had sa...

Windsor & Newton series7 #1 brush and Higgins Waterproof Black India ink. For the first 59 or so pages of my comic I used to be all digital, pencils and inks done in Corel's Painter. I've since gone back to traditional methods and LOVING it, brush inking is the best. -Kev Hey Kevin, do you have any...

Nice; you create a great mood with this. Well, not great for the people in the picture, ha ha. I'm not too great at cities, but you did a good job here.

A little animation

Just a little thing I did in flash. it's my first time using it, and my first time doing any kind of animation, ha ha. But I think it's pretty neat. If anyone has any tips about using flash, let me know! Ha ha. it took my at least an hour just to figure out how to get going on this, crazy program. I...

Thanks! I'm glad you guys liked it. I think I remember playing around with that PS filter once, but I'd be lying if I said that's what inspired the style, ha ha. Really it was just that I was using painter and I couldn't find a smooth brush I liked, so I just thought, "I'll just use the pen tool and...
