Bandits

Just watched again on DVD, having found it on Wal-Mart's $7.50 rack... Wha...?? I guess this movie is considered bargain material--but I love it! One of my favorite films of the last few years. I didn't see it in the theater, as it looked like a sorta lame action-comedy caper flick. All of which it ...

Yeah, the wand and filling works for solid lines, but not for the rough pencil lines I'm talking about. Anyway, I've figured out the correct method. Actually, a friend at work did it. What you do is create a new layer on top of the pencil layer. Fill the new layer with a color, then set that ...

Photoshop Question

Hey gang--I have a question maybe someone can help with... If I scan a black and white (grey, actually) pencil drawing, how can I change the lines to a color? I know how to do it if it's a solid ink line, but with a pencil scan, the lines are not solid. I also can't just adjust the hue, because bein...

Wow, I can't believe I missed this!! Gorgeous, Rad. Awesome inking.
The reveal in the last panel is hilarious. Brilliant! The only thing is, I wish you had emphasized the word "they" in the last word balloon. Maybe color it, or make it bold. "Well, they were completely useless..."

Beautiful!

I think Cars will be good, because I have faith in Lasseter and Pixar. The eyes in the windshield don't look that cool to me, but it makes sense because the windshield is where the viewpoint naturally is stationed (as when a person is driving a car.) The only reason for a car to have eyes in the hea...

Saw it again last night (#3)... Simply brilliant in every regard. :D This time, I was paying a lot of attention to background characters, or 'secondary' characters in a scene, i.e., the character who is not delivering a line. Beautiful, subtle reactions, expressions. Lots of gentle nostril flaring, ...

Catfish Hotel

This animated short is really cool, especially the designs.

And from IMDB....... Quote: Pixar has no plans in the works for a sequel to The Incredibles, writer-director Brad Bird has told Chicago Sun-Times columnist Cindy Pearlman. "We won't rush into a sequel. No one at Pixar has mentioned it," Bird said. "It's the kind of thing where you want to take some ...
