On the first page, you might want to try thickening the line weight on the panel border, and maybe using a white panel border to contrast the black on black of beard to background. I'll agree with Steve that you show some Mignola influence, but maybe only in the stark black/same line weight sense. Y...

Thanks for all the input guys, this is exactly the kind of advice I think I need. I tried to incorporate a bit of that in my latest piece for Drawer Geeks, the theme was "Monsters Under the Bed". And you caught me Joe, I do like the creatures more. I think it has to do with the fact that most of the...

I have to say Frank, I enjoy the spot blacks you use. Very minimal, but it creates points of interest very effectively. Love the Beasts 2 piece, I was just reading about that project this morning.

I hate to play Devil's advocate, but I actually really like the fish picture. One thing you might want to try is to de-saturate the background blue a bit. I think it over powers the rest of it and flattens it a bit. I think you actually did a pretty decent job conveying neon lights.

I'm just going to start posting everything in one thread. Here's the last two Drawer Geeks topics "Red Necks" (which I think I posted already) and "Lord of the Rings". http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l30/cubiclegangsters/RedNecks2.jpg http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l30/cubiclegangsters/Nazgul.j...
