PA page 11... Finally

Image

I'm not dead! Page 11. Besides ruining the inks the first time through, I had some paying work that delayed the update. Page 12 should be hot on the heels of this as I try to catch up a bit.

What a great convention. Thanks, Vince and Smaragddrache for stopping by! Dresden, I totally did not find your table, sorry. I did not leave my post but twice the whole weekend, and guilt at leaving my buddies at the table drove me back pretty quickly both times.

Not Dead Yet

Persona Animus is not dead; I have just had other things eating my time this past month. New page this week, before the convention. Which reminds me: I will be attending the Alternative Press Expo in San Francisco next weekend-- booth 282, if anyone wants to stop by and say hi! http://www.sankam.ne...

Reagan and Rad speak Truth. I've discovered it was the struggle of learning to draw that made me hate life drawing. I've been back in school for the last year and the more I learn, the more I like it. It was not being able to tell what I was looking at, or not having the dexterity to put it down acc...

I agree with Chris Schweizer and others that it is good to start small. But if you are short on ideas and the options are long or not at all, long seems preferable. I think you have to go with your heart on this one. I finally jumped into my story last year-- even though it's in the middle of the ov...

I did the original ashcan for Persona Animus as clean(ish) pencils and grey tone, but I committed to doing the final version in ink, because I really wanted to learn it. I really like inking, but I am still pretty bad at it. I may switch back to pencils at the end of Act I. Usually for non-comic stu...

I needed a font that looked comicky but also had lower-case letters (I write a lot of muttering), so I actually went and purchased one from www.comicbookfonts.com . They can be a bit pricey, but sometimes their specials are pretty good, and they have some awesome fonts. I use 'Astronauts in Trouble'...
