Thanks, Joseph Park!

Of course, I was happiest with the end result right when I finished at 23.5 hours, before I'd had a chance to sleep and renew all my critical faculties.

I enjoyed your 2006 24-hour comic (and last year's as well, though you were awfully brutal to your main character until the avenging rat started flying around). You're right about the polish sort of fading as you proceed -- page 2 panel 2 was the highlight drawing for me -- but having done my first ...

24-Hour Comic - "Evan's Kitchen"

This is in reply to squidbunny's call for more comics from this year's 24-Hour Comics Day. Yes, it has been two months, but I only recently got it scanned and posted to my site, so there you go. There's definitely some deterioration in the inking quality as we get towards the end in mine as well, th...

Another long absence. I think in Internet years, I've been gone about eight lifetimes. No, I didn't expect anyone to notice, but I did do some comics. Here are a few new episodes: http://www.jackcomics.com/episodes/images/18.jpg http://www.jackcomics.com/episodes/images/19.jpg http://www.jackcomics....

Well, if you ask me (which no one has), it's that subconscious factor that enriches our best work (and is no doubt the downfall of our worst work  ). In your case, the emotional tone has a lot of shadings that come into play purely because you're the one who made the thing. I firmly believe th...

Hi Joey, I haven't been at these boards in a good long while, but followed Kean's link from Flight's main blog a while back, and have been keeping up with "The Ride Home" since then. It's been a lot of fun -- certainly a pleasure to read, like all of the work I've seen you do so far. (Oh! And I just...

Thanks, guys!

I'm glad you're enjoying it. I post new episodes to my site on the 1st of each month, but I'll probably wait until I have at least a couple more before putting them up here.

JACK: Adventures in Texas' Big Bend - episode dump

Hi everyone, It's been months and months since I've been by and posted anything, so here are the last few episodes of my strip (now monthly, since it's seeing print in a monthly regional paper): http://www.jackcomics.com/episodes/images/08.jpg http://www.jackcomics.com/episodes/images/09.jpg http://...

Thanks, Mr. Delinquint!

And now, a month has passed and a new episode is finished. I did the basic shading in inkwash this time over the pencil, rather than jumping straight into photoshop. I'm happier with the texture - what do you all think?

Hi there, Mr. G,

I really like the environments in these, and the judicious use of "limited animation" emphasizes the acting nicely.

Liked the Flight piece too, especially the panel where he's shaking down the hill. Kazu did a great job adding extra atmosphere as well.
