Happy Halloween!

Shockingly I got off my lazy ass and did a Halloween themed pic! http://www.plognark.com/Art/Sketches/Blogsketches/2009/how_do_you_sit_on_these_1000.jpg Title is "How the hell do you sit on these things?" I always thought riding a flying broomstick would cut off blood flow to important body parts, l...

Re: Steamvolt: web comic

Thanks for the input! After working at it for a bit, the time savings aren't all that huge; I do waste a bit of time positioning and spacing and such. I'm still in the process of setting up a proper site; hopefully that should be off the ground this weekend. Just need some intro art and a decent the...

Re: Steamvolt: web comic

Thanks!

Currently I'm putting them up on my deviantart account (http://plognark.deviantart.com/), but I already own steamvolt.com so I just need to get off my duff and get a site up and running.

I'm a little behind on the sixth page, but I'm grinding it out right now.

Steamvolt: web comic

It's been ages since I posted anything here, so here's a web comic I've started recently. Mostly it's been on Deviantart, but I'm going to set up a proper site for it and all other than my dumpy old blog. http://www.plognark.com/Art/Steamvolt/steamvolt_1_1_600.jpg http://www.plognark.com/Art/Steamvo...

Thanks Guys Plognark. I do the whole drawing in flash, and just bring it in photoshop where I add a layer of texture. SUPER simple in fact! I also do the edges around the image in photoshop! Oh, cool, so you're just using the stock texture filters in PS then? I remember some of your all-photoshop w...

Hey Campy, what are you using to add those textures? Still using flash for all of your stuff?

Steampunk-ish Character

Been a while since I posted...here's a character study I've been working on. She might be the main protagonist in a comic idea I've got rolling around in the back of my head. http://www.plognark.com/Art/Sketches/Blogsketches/2008/2008wip/lucycourier-WIP1.jpg This is a rough with sort of a preliminar...

i think there's a lot of focus on the tentacles but that nothing else has been treated with that same care. his hands look too clunky and the houses at the bottom need a sense of lighting that is consistent with the rest of the piece. it would also help your sense of scale and distance if perhaps a...

Cthulhu in the Mist

An hour and a half photoshop sketch. Still gettin' the hang of pure digital work. I could tighten it up if I spent more time, but I'll probably just keep working on different stuff. I just watched the move The Mist a little while ago, and finished playing a forum based mafia game with a Lovecraft th...
