UP!
I really enjoyed it! Not sure how I'd stack it up against the other Pixar movies (Monsters Inc. is probably still my favorite) but I found it really touching and fun. Lots and lots of cuteness and action. Never has a movie made me appreciate soda bottle caps more! Congrats to Ronnie del Carmen and e...

I grew up on Newspaper comic strips and owe a lot of my life to them. So I will be sad to see them die completely.
for those of you who think print comic strips are dead you should read Cul de Sac (online):

I enjoyed the movie quite a bit. I knew I'd love the visuals but I was afraid that it might fall flat sorta the way James and the Giant Peach has great visuals but is kinda boring. I agree the Coraline's character wasn't so fleshed out and it's questionable how much she grew, but I'd argue she was a...

I also used to be a big Don Bluth fan mostly because of The Secret of Nimh which I still enjoy a lot to this day.
I also highly recommend this to animation fans:

Balloon Story by Emmy Cicierega
Since it seems like a such a good fit for Flight, I thought I'd call attention to this awesome comic if you haven't seen it: http://b1nd1.deviantart.com/art/Balloon-Comic-1-77860182 Drawn by Emmy Cicierega who is one of the folks behind the Harry Potter Puppet Pals and an all around awesome illustra...

Oh, another thing that I totally forgot to mention, but the end credits are fantastic as well! Now I can't decide if Kung Fu Panda or Wall-E wins out for best end credits this year. I'd give that one to Kung-Fu Panda. --Except the OVER-use of the song "Everybody Loves Kung Fu Fighting" kind of disq...

But it doesn't really belong in it's location. Barnes and Nobles has it scrunched on the bottom shelf wedged between some picture book and Captain Underpants. It's not even on the "graphic novels for kids" shelf like Bone and W.I.T.C.H. are. In fact, every "family oriented" comic book like Amelia R...

Small Press Expo this weekend!
This is always one of my favorite shows of the year. SPX is consistently one of the best places to find art from people who don't go to any other comic conventions ever. So you can find unique hand made comics that you won't come across anywhere else. Stuff that really breaks the mold of what you'd ...
