I know what you mean.
And I'm in love with Laureline

It's been awhile since i've seen a movie with that kind of suspense. The bust scene where the two bosses become aware of the respective moles was one of the best I've seen in some time. It was also nice that there was not that much action. The women roles were all a bit weak though, I think the scr...

I can't say that I've been bored watching his movies.
Argh, that looks ugly.
Should have rather said: "I found his movies not boring."

Don't get me wrong, Spielberg is certainly a very good director and has the craftsmanship. Otherwise his films might not feel as seamless and smooth as they are. I can't say that I've been bored watching his movies. But I always found his movies lacking something, either they were too bland, too com...

My supervisor is a Mac follower and I've seen that screen saver on his new machine, very nice.
Has anyone found a place on the net where one can find the original images?

Valerian

Valerian (Dargaud) Scénario : Christin Pierre Dessin : Mézières Jean-Claude Some of the best SciFi I've seen/read in any medium and that for over 30 years! Interesting characters and they found always intriguing ways to include current topics in their stories, from nuclear angst (Cité des eaux mouva...

Oh gross, Spielberg+War of the worlds=bad combo. I think Spielberg is good even very good when it comes to popcorn entertainment but in my opinion he just can't handle subtlety, ambiguity, suspense or more complex, intricate stuff. And when I mean suspense I'm not taking Jaws but Hitchcock. And SciF...

Dryponder has a point about the villains.
Where did they go, when the Supers were forced to retire?
Or were there no Super-Villains? I'd find that hard to believe...

It arrived in Australia, finally! Great movie! The design... Wow, it reminded me of the old Bond movies and others like "The Satan Bug" and "North by Northwest" The entry into the facility: Very nice to see that the Incredibles used their brains and didn't go for the front entrance. Again, reminded ...

It's been translated into German some time ago and the last volume in German (number 5) is scheduled for May 05 or so. I've been reading it when it came out and was hooked straight away. It's one of these rare cases nowadays which gives you that "classic" SciFi feeling and contributes something new ...

5 things to understand life, the universe and the rest

5 things to read, watch or listen to, to understand life, the universe and the rest (like adolescence and marriage). In no particular order: "The hitchhikers guide to the universe", Douglas Adams (especially the inside-out asylum) "My neighbours the Yamadas", Ghibli (everything you wanted to know ab...
