Re: Art thread
Thanks Arrow! I've actually found a local art education center that does open figure drawing with a live model on weekends for a minimal cost. I'm making this a top priority and I'm also going to be hitting the anatomy books too and sketching from them in between sessions. I'm really hoping what you...

Re: Art thread
Not sure if it is appropriate for this forum, but I wanted to post something I did last week that is inorganic: http://fc08.deviantart.com/fs50/f/2009/279/3/5/Futuristic_Fighters_by_jackal111.jpg I really want to try and work towards this kind of detail in my figures in particular and panels in gene...

Re: Art thread
Thanks so much! This was the kind of feedback I was hoping for and I will definitely start working more on anatomy at every opportunity. I'll also keep in mind what you mentioned about light as well, because I know this is an issue with all of my art.
Thanks again for the straightforward critique!

Art thread
So I want to go ahead and start putting up my sketches, finished pieces, etc for everyone to view and critique. Before going any further, please keep in mind that I am just now really getting back into art after a nearly 13-year hiatus . I'm not saying go easy on me, rather I guess I am trying to ju...

Like others have said, well done on the attention to detail. Even without color, I love the b&w look and feel!

I absolutely love the polluted city image... The colors and composition make it hard for me to take my eyes off of it!

Re: Remake, Reboot - What to do with your long-running webcomic?
I think the concept of returning to 'old work' with fresh new ideas and techniques embodies all that is great about comics in particular and visual art in general; the idea that you, as the reader/viewer, get to watch the artist grow professionally as time passes. For me an artist reboot is more of ...

Re: New to the FLIGHT forums? Introduce yourself in this thread!
Hello all! :D I recently discovered this forum through a few fellow participants during this year's 24 Hour Comic Challenge and I'm looking forward to meeting new friends and growing as an artist! A little about me: I'm 31 and live in Winter Park, a suburb of Orlando, FL. Instead of doing what I sho...
