Re: Lantern Season

I' d say it's pretty simple, even though it's not straightforward. The author said it: it's about expectation, reality, perception. And memories are made up of a varying mix of those things. If one of these aspects is dominant, a memory dies more easily and it becomes harder to resurrect the events ...

Re: Weave - a web tale of fantasy, fear and fun

Thank you, Derrick. Every bit of support means a lot to us. I suppose we have a different enough sensibility in our work, and we hope that it makes people find Weave more appealing, rather than opaque or difficult to follow. But in the end, we are just trying to put the best comic we can out there o...

Re: Mouse Guard, 1172

The number is 1152, but it's a small matter - what matters is that the comic is really beautiful and imbued with a lot of feeling and character - and ass-kicking action to boot! I recommend it to everyone. There's also a cool RPG, with art by the author, it's worth checking out.

Here's some more of Weave goodness for your perusal: pages we've really enjoyed making and hope you'll enjoy seeing. Here is a chase scene, pages 8 and 9 http://weavetales.net/comics/weave/ch01page008.jpg http://weavetales.net/comics/weave/ch01page009.jpg Later, the plot thickens... http://weavetale...

Re: Order of Tales and other stuff!

Man, you just keep improving in every aspect of your work.

I guess that's the way it's meant to be.

Do you plan on doing more shorts in the future? They seem like a good thing: you can make them relatively quickly and the fans have a complete story to enjoy.

Re: Steamvolt: web comic

Just to second what others have said... This looks really nice, I love the style and you did very well on setting up the world and the story here. It just tickled all the right places for me to want to keep reading, so... Just do something with the font (hand lettering was a better choice) and get t...

Why thank you, Mr. Kneeshaw! We hope the story will continue to get more interesting and that art will be even better.

We had another update today, so lay your thoughts on us. C'mon, you know you want to. Well, at least we want you to.

Re: Orbit - Earth's Midlife Crisis

Really nice. I'd be surprised if you can milk this simple premise (solar system as characters) for much more, but hey, I love being surprised. Maybe there will be some branching out into deep space....

Re: EVIL AIN'T EASY on Zuda! (now with contests)

This is great. I already read EVIL AIN'T EASY, when I was checking out this month's Zuda entries. You're up against a couple of pretty good comics, but I think yours is the most solid of the chosen entry, because it has great art, it relies on fun gags which are expertly presented, and not on a cont...

Weave - a web tale of fantasy, fear and fun

We are Mehighlow (that's me - words) and Manda (that's him - art). We've been doing Weave for quite some time, but we started making the webcomic recently. So, we waited till we put up 20 pages before we invited you to check it out. Well, it's that time. http://weavetales.net/comics/weave/ch01page00...

Re: MYTH - Sci-Fi/Fantasy Graphic Novel

This is really nice. The pacing and the action flow well, you have an eye for choosing instances to illustrate. The style, as opposed to some others, I do find reminiscent of some other artist, but overall it is really professional and... confident is the word, I guess. This could very well be publi...

Re: Difficulties of making up names...

You came to a pretty reasonable conclusion yourself: can't avoid it and now the world's connected via interwebs and all, you just have a higher chance of noticing that your cool alien-sounding name for the Holy Mountain of Gods is actually a derogatory term for loan-sharks in Utar Pradesh. But, one ...

Re: The Sleepwalkers

A really tight package. Your art has definitely improved. Word-wise, the playfulness is still here even though the narration is more streamlined, and there's even a punchpanel in the end! Yum. Thoroughly enjoyed it, one of your better ones.

Re: Piper's Pet (UPDATE: Now with actual comic!)

Lovely. Simply lovely. The Big Fish's expression in the last panel fills me with delight.

Checked out your site, everything looks really good! And you have a flying manta ray in one of your comics! I love those (so there are some in our comic, too :))
