Build your own radio station
I'm sure most some of you are aware of the music genome project, but I still think it's fairly cool. At www.pandora.com you can get a stream of music based around matches of bands you like. I know the idea of music profiling for sales is rather insidious, but you can get a good stream of music for f...

I'll second this and add Water Margin (108 stars of destiny that gets re-used in games like Suikoden). quote="jdalton"]This might seem like a bit of an odd suggestion, but I recommend "Journey to the West," a classical Chinese novel written during the Ming dynasty. It is the only fantasy book I've f...

been a while
It's been way too long. I finally got a chance to do some stuff this weekend, here's a few: http://www.impudentpixel.com/images/twistingswordsman_WIP3.jpg The following were junk pencils I never finished. I decided to dust off my prismacolor markers for some play, then ink over the top. Turned out a...

American Analog Set
Haven't seen a post about them before, but I finally got one of their albums (Set Free) and am loving it. Very nice if you want slow sad music. Add in the Delgados "All You Need is Hate", a bottle of wine, and you've got an afternoon of crying your face through your pillow...

I was rather let down by this one. I was excited after the trailers and after Comicon...but something was just missing overall. I think at least 40 minutes could be cut, and that all the other actors should have taken some tips from Naomi Watts who nailed her performance. Also, some of the special f...

I'm hoping some others will contribute some coffee shop sketching to this thread...but here's a few more from a month or so ago to keep it going. http://www.impudentpixel.com/images/sketch_14.jpg http://www.impudentpixel.com/images/sketch_15.jpg http://www.impudentpixel.com/images/sketch_16.jpg http...

I picked this up when I was in Japan a few weeks ago. I enjoyed it...though there are limitations in both animation and the compositing of rendered elements together. I think the entire cell phone gimmick is hilarous, especially as it only serves to market the cell phone game they are trying to push...
