Re: Two of my Comics

Thanks for the comment! Yes, I agree about the squid one having the feel of a much longer tale. Maybe some time in the future, I'll come back to it. I do like the idea of a leviathan living inside something the size of a human being...very narutoesque, I guess. Also, I'll look into changing the site...

Two of my Comics

Hello, I wanted to share with the Flight community 2 comics I created for no particular reason earlier this year. The first one is called The Old One . The second more recent comic I've created is Istrouma ...I was on a Cthulu kick at the time I created both of these, if you were wondering. Anyway, ...

The pho here in Houston is pretty darn good. Just stop in anywhere on Bellaire near Beltway 8. I'm more of a bunh fan myself. The best bunh in Houston is either Van Loche or Mai's on Milam. So, if for some reason you ever find yourself in Downtown Houston, thats where you need to go.

The batkick image is fun. It makes me wonder if bat(whatever) goes up for every activity batman does. Batscratch! Batshop! Batspeedwalk!

Oh, and you can never go wrong combining hot chicks and lotus plants imo.

Frog Girl

http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj22/Dr_Watsman/frog-girl2.png I found 8 toads sitting in a circle after dusk last week which is what moved me to create this image. Her proportions are incredibly wacky but I don't mind. Its blue colerease pencil, watercolor, and lots of digital. I had to create ...

http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj22/Dr_Watsman/beach3.jpg Another day, another image update. I still need to rework some of the huts. I agree with Frank that the detail is still lacking but its getting much closer. If this image has taught me anything, its that I should ALWAYS start with a phys...

Its getting closer but isn't there just yet. Better? Worse? Indifferent?

Excellent suggestions. I agree, it looks like a ghost village at the moment. That needs to be remedied. I had a little more detail in the foreground originally but then I got carried away with the atmospheric haze and went too far. I'll rework that part and post a new image in a day or so. Keep the ...

Places I'd rather be

http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj22/Dr_Watsman/beach.jpg I've been messing about with photoshop trying to create a few decent landscapes. This one feels close to finished. I'm debating adding a few red sailed canoes here and there inside the cove but I haven't decided just yet if it needs it. A...

http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj22/Dr_Watsman/hazmat.jpg Hello again. I've been messing about with making all-digital images and figured I would show some of the progress. It still doesn't feel complete just yet. I think that some more fine detail is needed before I'm happy with this one. Opin...

I like the one of the abandoned doll because of the three, its composition is the most dynamic...that and little kids being terrorized by giant monsters is always fun.

More random doodles. I thought this one was sort of fun so I did a quick coloring of it:

I'm glad you took the time to finish it. I'm sure another opportunity for you to illustrate with playboy will...arise? I couldn't help myself.

Just out of curiosity, did you entitle the blog entry "Psycho Killer" to pay homage to The Talking Heads?

I'm liking the frog and the girl. The frog has a nice subtle color change on him. What are you using to get such clean lines in these images?

The story is completely unformed at the moment but gradually I'm getting this idea from making them. I'm picturing sort of a space opera set in a post-modernist sort of world like blade runner. I've also been drawing some zombies lately...again, no clue where this is going. I agree about the right s...
