Re: Illustrative styles for graphic novel

Oh, these aren't for panel shots. I just using the similar sized frame to
test different styles, texture, & colors. These don't have anything to do with
the actual comic.

Re: Illustrative styles for graphic novel

Thanks PookeyG. These are just tests I'm doing to come up with a particular style. I'm getting close to an established look, though. I'm working on the story and thumbnails now, and I do plan on self-publishing a full color printed book, (finally). I love beautifully printed books and good book desi...

Illustrative styles for graphic novel

Some style tests I'm doing for a fun look for a graphic novel. Haven't designed the characters yet. Still working out story.

Re: Different Style

I know. The guy it seems like he's twisting all the way around, lol. And then there's his arm. I'm still trying to learn how to draw with this Wacom tablet. I didn't start out with a specific idea I just started drawing on the wacom and this kind of spat out. The sketch version seemed to have come ou...

Re: Troll

Cool! He kind of reminds me of a character from Joe Madureira's
Battle Chasers I used read in my early teens at a local comic shop.
His name was knolan (I think a wizard). But he would always be floating
in a similar position while flipping through his book.

Different Style

Haven't worked in this style in a long while. Decided to try at it again, this time drawing all from scratch in Photoshop. It's still hard for me to draw on a wacom tablet while looking at the monitor at the same time. I would like to try Cintiq 21UX where you can see where your drawing directly on ...

Re: designsies

Sweet designs! You should create your own story for it, like those
'What If' comics. Now that would be creative and fun to do!

Re: Goin Nutty - my first illustrated game

Wow, that looks so creatively fun to make! I like the illustrative fun style, and the early sketches you did on the design of the game. How complex is it to use that program? I've always wanted to make my own game and even sketched out ideas, characters, backgrounds all stored on file when I have th...

Re: A few color test thumbs

Thanks Squirpy. Yeah I love the different variations because I can file them away for use in another scene or drawing or it may even inspire me to draw another scene. But I'm still trying to get use to developing color schemes. Or at least ones I'm happy with. And it's hard to draw with this mouse. ...
