Re: Semmie the Forest gnome [Updated 10 may]

And we're back at page 14, the very first page I started this thread with! It's completely recolored and to show you the difference between 9 months of practice I placed the two beside one another, first old then new. I would love to hear what you think. http://members.casema.nl/joosthaakman/P14.png...

Re: A little story

Very good story, really original!

What you could try with the word balloons is make them wider and less high, that will make the sentences easier to read.

Re: Semmie the Forest gnome [Updated 30 apr]

@pH Thanks man! I really appreciate it! And you're right about the panel order of page 10, Mr Average mentioned the exact same thing. I will fix it like you said by putting in arrows to indicate the correct reading order. I have already saved up quite a few things I need to edit when I finish colori...

Re: Kevin and the Light of Destiny Webcomic Launches

Comic is looking good, Michael! The overactive imagination of the main character is a nice twist in storytelling, most adventure stories are quite straight forward. Is it going to be like "Bridge to Terabithia" where the whole adventure stays more or like imaginary? Or is it more like "the Spiderwic...

Re: The Mal and Chad comic strip is back!

Wow these are really funny and original! I love the last one "I thought you'd never ask... that stupid question again", really great! What I also would love to see, is some strips colored. The header image of the Mal and Chad website is just gorgeous and I think it would look awesome in the strip. I...

Re: Semmie the Forest gnome [Updated 30 apr]

Page 13. Next one will be page 14, the one I started this thread with. It might be nice to compare the two and see what difference 9 months of practice makes.

Re: 6-Commando

Excellent page M! I have actually never been very good at drawing machinery I can tell you this my friend, at this point in time you are very good at drawing machinery! Like I said before, I really love panel 5, the sudden movement indicates a very assertive action with a blown up tank as a result i...

Sketches #2

These are preliminary sketches I made for an illustration for Mr. Average's web comic 6-commando. Check the finished piece on his website 6-commando (navigate back to March 1st). When you're there you should read from page 1, it's awesome. http://www.joosthaakman.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/CL_01...
