I've read through all of the comics on your site (which I absolutely love by the way), and I have to say that I get a bit of a Seuss vibe as well. For the most part I can't really place it, I think it might just be the whimsical nature of the stories, but the fish and the whale in this one, through ...

Thanks! The modeling is done in Blender and the texturing is done in PaintShopPro. I tried to keep the texturing simple so it is only four basic textures slightly altered for different colors.

I love the second to last panel esspecially. It really gives a good feeling of a childhood imagination of danger.

Finally got a chance to work on updating the model today. Added in those extra ropes to hold the balloons together as well as ropes to hold the engines on. I also put a lot of clutter on the deck of the ship since a lot of the first comic that I have in mind will be taking place there. As for how th...

Legends of Zelda: Twilight Princess I am slowly working my way through it, though I have found it difficult in that I don't get a chance to play for a month and when I go back it takes me a few hours to get my bearings and remember what I am supposed to be doing. TES IV: Oblivion I think that I may...

Those textures are really quite nice, along with the droopy modeling they give him a lot of character.

That is a very good point. Initially I had the balloons held by a rigid structure of metal bars tied down with ropes. That struck me a quite implausible as well since deflating the balloons would result in a mass of metal crashing down on the ship. But you are right that I still need some way to con...

Airship Model [Updated]

Here is a airship that I modeled over the last week and a half. It is a prop for the comic that I am slowly working on by building up a collection of props and character models. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v53/quelkron/models/The%20Fellow%20Players/vehicles/airship01/render03.jpg http://img.ph...

I see an almost Seuss-ian style to your design of machines and some of the architecture, only with more detail. I love it.

I really like your composition as well, especially the picture of the tree with the leaves blowing onto the following page.

I absolutely love your Jellaby drawings, especially what you do with his arms. You make him looks very fidgety just by positioning them right.

I hope that you decide to continue this story, I love the coloring (especially what you did with the red.. I guess what what you could call 'magicy stuff' fpr lack of a better term) and the story looks like it could be quite interesting.

I love the ones of Indy running, they very effectively give the feeling of action and speed and the poses are absolutely natural looking.

But my favorite has to be the first one because I simply love that shading.

Another great resourse along the same lines is Librivox which is a site working on collecting as many books in the public domain (i.e. those which can be found on Project Gutenberg) in audio book format. Since it is entirely community driven and anyone can contibute the quality varies, but none the ...

These are fantastic. I agree that it is like Calvin and Hobbes, but you have a clever story and a new twist on the kid and his talking animal comic. You managed to get me interested in the characters and story within four comics.

Beautiful as always. I absolutely love your vehicle designs. Both the boat and the sub have a cartoony look, but retain enough realism to be immediately recognizable.
