Re: Cathedral + Amulet 3 preview
The mountains feel very chiseled and ancient. A real sense of weight that helps lift the balloon. Love it!

Re: A comic
That's a great comic! I love the panel with the mermaid tear duct up close and the last panel with the mermaid sack on the ocean floor.
Decoding the visual dialogue was fun too!

Nice textures on the gear and I like the use white space and light bloom. I'm not sure I would like it as a style for an entire book but it works really well here because it gives a sense of height and atmosphere.

Re: A Journal Comic
Great critters and great stories! I want to read more! The one thing that felt a little out of place was seeing the screenshot of your monitor pasted into the first comic (last panel, page 5 & 6). The characters are simplified renderings and giving the monitor such realism makes it stand out. It did...

And a PDF of the print version if you want to run it off double sided and hold it up to the light: PD...

I thought I liked the Maxx but upon reflection it was just Sam Kieth's squiggly, offbeat illustrations that interested me. I really love the life and personality he brought to his work. There was almost a Sam Kieth art book, I don't think it ever got published though. http://www.amazon.com/Art-Sam-K...
