Re: Eclectic Comics

I'm working on my dissertation and I've been doing a lot of reading from educational journals and textbooks. That reading can sometimes be kind of dry, so I really appreciate how author Michael Quinn Patton writes in an informal style and includes a lot of parables, jokes and cartoons. This comic is...

Re: Art by Committee

When last we heard from The Mighty Andar, he was thrown 20 feet by a giant chicken. The Art by Committee Challenge this month is to illustrate this random quote from a science fiction novel. “He is shorter than I remember, and thin. His fur is grayed to white in a fringe around his head, just below ...

The Art by Committee challenge this month is to illustrate this random quote from a science fiction novel: "I became immediately and irrationally angry. How dare this six foot chicken with a silly red crest on top of his narrow foolish head say that we humans were deficient in feii? I controlled.......

Re: Curriculum Comics #4

Thanks for the comments guys. I enjoy hearing reactions of all kinds. It is by no means perfect. My main idea with this one, is it is addressed to teachers. However, after doing it, I think it would be really great to modify it for kids. As for naturalistic intelligence -- Dr. Howard Gardner has cer...

Curriculum Comics #4

Here is the latest issue of Curriculum Comics. I do these every time I take a college course. When they assign a final project, I ask permission to create a comic instead of a traditional paper to demonstrate what I have learned in the course. In this case, I received a grade of 100, and I emailed a...

This month's prompt: "He stood and held his arms out before him, pulling the chains taut. The muscles in his shoulders and chest bunched, standing out in sharp relief, and a moment later, the chains snapped clearly." http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3562/3832659796_d1ec71136f_o.jpg http://farm4.static...

I also meant to comment on the strip where they are trying to make their car troubles go away by throwing money at the problem. That is so pointed and funny!

Re: GUTEN TAG (*updated 7/21/09*)

Add my vote to those liking the German at the end. It does make it unique. I agree with Seth -- these are consistently funny. I think you should put them in book form. And, why stop making them after you graduate?
