I really like the wisps of smoke (steam?) coming out of his mouth. I also like how atmospheric the shading is on him; the way it goes from sort of red, to green, to blue makes it more interesting to look at.

I've put a bit of time into this one, but I'm at a point where I'm not sure it's done, but not really sure what I can do to make it better. Yeah, I agree that the colors are way to bright; it's only the second piece I've ever done in illustrator, and I was only using the default color pallette, for no better reason than laziness I guess.

Neat robot, but what I like most is how the background sort of fades off, it feels very soft and atmospheric and it's awesome. =)
