You are all too kind. And yes, the day before I did the sketch I'd just bought "The Corpse", a brilliant little Hellboy-tale!

Monkey Boy!

For some reason I've gotten into drawing monkeys! Probably something to do with the Disney-syndrome (one of them, anyway): it's more effectful to use animals to convey human emotions. Mostly, I just like drawing costumes on monkeys! http://www.atleillustrasjon.no/Monkey-flames.jpg (Just a quick penc...

Thanks, everybody, I knew you'd be the type of persons to appreciate Johnny Cash! Kean: Notice also that the wings aren't white, but a shady grey... Johnny Mercury: Done with a Faber Castell PITT artist pen, "brush-felt-penn-thingy". It's lovley to practise your brushwork with, since it's a bit firm...

Another cowboy in the sky

I saw Rad's fantastic drawing, and the title of the post made me think of a line from a Johnny Cash song "The greatest cowboy of them all". And that made me think of a drawing I did resently of the big man himself, as he slowly drifts away from earth. Here it is: http://www.atleillustrasjon.no/Johnn...

Just great, I totally follow with Sweet_Baboo one the "thought-trail", and love how the image makes my mind wander. Kazu: When you have a few hours to spare (hardly likely now, with all your projects going, but WHEN) you've GOT to make a tutorial on one of these pieces. I love to see how other artis...

Love it! And yes, a little burp would be in its place. Without it, it might seem as the little monster is just hiding under the hat. A burp ads a bit of grotesque, I think. Can't wait to see the whole alphabet!

I'm really not that grumpy, it was just very sunny the day I drew it last summer, so I'm squinting. Oh, and I've stopped smoking since then!

I agree with everyone, especially Stick, been reading Calvin & Hobbes lately, and it's that same tenderness and humanity in the linework. But I didn't quite take to the last panel, the giant is abit too recognisable, I feel... Keep thinking about the picturebooks I loved as a child, and how I could ...

JASON-new book

I was just wondering what you guys think of JASON's work ("Hey, Wait", "Schhh") if you've ever heard of him. the reason I'm asking, is that I've recently been introduced, gotten his latest book (still only published in Sweden, I'm afraid) and am currently helping him scan artwork for a new book of h...
