Laurent Hrybyk - Collage-ish Illustrations

Holy moley it's been 4 years since I've been on this forum. It's also been about 2 years since I have really produced any illustration of note (mainly sucked into my job as a graphic designer/photographer). But a few recent ventures had me renewing/refreshing my approach to illustration (all digital...

I've always been a fan of arrows in illustration so I decided to continue a lifetime theme with this new piece. What do you think?

Thanks for the sweet tutorial. I don't think I've ever even thought of half toning anything in my entire artistic career...but now I just might.

Both are great and if you were trying to put out a bunch then go with the b/w. Personally the color is fantastic and I'd be much obliged if you'd put out two of those a week.

There's something quite beautiful going on with these comics you've posted. First the artwork is unlike anything I can place. If I had to, I'd say it was The Little Prince mixed with Mike Mignola mixed with Maus mixed with old Dick Tracy comics. The stories and delivery are subtle, smooth and well t...

New Illustrations....Getting Back Into The Swing Of Things

Man I forget how good this forum is...I've been away too long. I recently completed a job for a local magazine, The Urbanite. I was hired for the cover and the art/culture lead in page. The cover's them was 'Animals In The City'. Here it is (without the copy): http://laurenthrybyk.com//wp-content/ga...

Beautiful. The page layouts are awesome as well. I agree with the contrast thing a little, but I think it's mainly the heavy black border that has me yearning for contrast. That's just a minor detail...really well done.
