Re: Disney to acquire Marvel for 4 billion

Marvel will be fine. I doubt anyone will see a much of a change. If you look at a list of assets Disney owns, I think you'll be surprised. How obvious is it that Disney owns ABC, ESPN and co-owns Lifetime Entertainment?

Religulous

Has anyone seen this yet? It's a fun documentary that brings up a lot of good points about religion.

I'm still learning, but I found my stories have improved after I began using basic plot and structure elements. I don't make any distinction between a short story or comic until after the story is written. I then take the story, break it down into panels and work on the layout and timing. Any good s...

I use to freelance quite a bit, but not so much since I've been in college. The most important things in freelance is self promotion, keeping contracts, meeting deadlines and networking. Taxes will bite you from behind, like Pascal mentioned. So, keep good records. I think you might enjoy this site:...

I loved this film. The story was well crafted and the music was fantastic! I think it's a great year for animation. :)

I agree, great use of color. I love the composition in the first illustration and the texture in the last one.

I think you expressed yourself very well, Amy. I like your way of thinking and the imaginative approach you take to watching films. I also love the idea of "dream goggles." I imagine looking through them would be something like daydreaming, but with far better clarity. You wouldn't happen to have an...

By asking if a panel-by-panel representation of a story is necessarily "micromanaging" that story (i.e. exercising too much control over it, to its detriment), you're implying that an argument could me made that it is, and I was just wondering what that argument would be... Sorry, I forgot all abou...

Thanks!! No plans for a 3rd magazine yet. Really depends on how this one sells. Avatar still isn't a household name like Spongebob so we have to be careful in these hard times (for the kids magazine biz). But if the numbers are strong enough I'm going to push to do a magazine that wraps up loose en...
